FWB 300s
« on: June 08, 2017, 04:18:37 PM »
This started out as a tatty left handed rifle, with shot seals and a little bit of rust on the metalwork..
I sourced a right handed stock from Germany, stripped, sanded and renished in tru-oil, with black sharpy as the colour for the stippling.
0000 wool and 3in1 sorted the minor corrosion and bluing underneith was still relatively ok.
Now it is resealed and shoots well, low power obviously but great on paper.

Just need to source a grip cap, trigger guard and now a new butt pad.

I havent yet, however one of the guys at the club has made a prototype 3D printed adjustable butt which is proving quite nice... Also picked up old SKP Alloy butt plate that has had come modification by previous owner that is in need of a clean up, however I think i like the home made plastic job its got!

Sorry, late response. The Lefty has since been sold to a smallbore club, aparently the stocks are easy to modify for their use.
