its been bit qiuet on here lately, guess everyone busy on other things, didnt take ant pics when doing this, but
there pics this bulk fill unit on modification thread somewhere a while back, the screw in bulk fill unit i made
for my old gamo G1200 co2 pump/slide action rifle developed a slow leak recently thru the fill valve so
decided to have look at it,figured was proberly some dirt etc got into valve thru foster male fitting as rifle
been sitting in workshop without cap on fill fitting, easy job, just had unscrew foster fitting and remove valve
sure nuf bit crap in there, tiny bit brass that mustve come from mill had got under valve seat n stuck in the
synthetic seal inside foster fitting, easy fix just replaced seal, filled unit to 1100 psi with hpa to test for leaks
n left over nite, i allways do these pressure tests on co2 with hpa,as air thinner than co2,so more likely to
find ant leaks than co2,no leaks next day so all good,as unit allready got 1100 psi hpa in it and been
thinking trying this rifle on regulated hpa, decided this good time to see if gun would evan fuction on hpa,
set up chrono and this is what i got from 10 shot string, bear in mind this unit small only holds 36 grams
co2,havnt checked how many cc it holds but not a lot,580.0/591.4/574.4/571.1/570.5/545.8/550.8/538.6/535.4/531.6 fps average558.9 ,co2 normally
gives 535fps.looks like hpa guna be good option it reg set to approx 950/1000 would be well worth
new hpa unit to hold more hpa and run at approx 3000 psi fills off reg as accuracy evan with 48.5 fps
variation in velocity over 10 shot string was equal to that on co2 and shot pretty much to same point aim
can see a new hpa project coming out this test.
cheers mike
