Results are now up along with a match report on the other forum, which ironically seems to be down. Oh well.

News update 18.03.2013

Greetings to all.

NZAFTA would like to announce that with the "black forum" down, until further notice is given, http://www.nzairgun.com/forum will be the interim vessel for NZAFTA communications and announcements.

Private enquiries can still be made to the BoG outside of these channels via NZAFTA club reps, as per normal.

We would like to thank all member clubs for their patience and perseverance as NZAFTA look to futureproof their online presence over the coming days, and Ken from NZHunter.com for the ongoing service this forum provides.

Further announcements will be forthcoming shortly.

Safe shooting,

Davey

Greetings to all.

NZAFTA would like to announce that submissions for the 2013 NZAFTA AGM are now open, and will close on the 10th of October to allow clubs to gather and discuss before themselves the weekend before the event.

The AGM is on the saturday afternoon of the national finals (Saturday 19th October).

Submissions should be emailed to 12ftlbs.NZAFTA (at) gmail.com. It would also be useful if each club could let me know who their rep will be at the AGM.

Safe shooting,

Davey

The qualifying rounds are all done and dusted, and Brett has compiled all the numbers, dates, classes and points, and here's the end results.

Over the course of this year we've had 39 different people attend qualifying rounds, most have attended at least 2, some more, but in total 39 different people. Not a bad effort, given some of the regular shooters have been behind the scenes marshalling or organizing instead of shooting.

The following is a list of classes that will be contested at this years nats, and the list of people that have qualified for prizes within those classes. Others, of course, are welcome to shoot in these classes but will not be eligible for placings/trophies.

WFTF - 12ft/lb PCP

Brian Furth - WAGC
Neil Shelley - MADAS
Rob Nixon - NHAGC
Brian Andrews - WAGC
Brett Nixon - PIAKO
Alex Magon - PIAKO
Raewyn Magon - PIAKO
Dave Lum - WAG
Jeff Hietbrink - WAG (Incumbent)
Dave Johnston - NRC
Andrew NG - NHAGC
Maurice Hedger - NHAGC
Andy Evans - WAGC
Andrew Jurgens - NRC? / MCASA?
Simon Davis - WAGC

WFTF - 12ft/lb Springer

Brian Andrews - WAGC
Brett Nixon - PIAKO
Alex Magon - PIAKO
Raewyn Magon - PIAKO
Dave Johnston - NRC
Paul Blades - NRC

OPEN PCP

Michael Dye - WAGC
Neil Armstrong - WAGC
Brian Andrews - WAGC
Hamish McClurg - WAG (Incumbent)
Brandon Syme - NRC
Dawn Grant - NHAGC
Terry Lum - WAG
Mike Newell - MCASA

OPEN SPRINGER

Brian Furth - WAGC (Incumbent)
Brett Nixon - PIAKO
Dave Lum - WAG
Tony Saggers - NHAGC
Paul Van Zyl - NHAGC
Scott Townsend - NHAGC
Lachlan Farqahar - NRC

The official trophies for this year are:

12ft/lb PCP (magair elite trophy)
12ft/lb springer
Open PCP
Open springer
Top female shooter

Mann challenge cup - Top club team award
(1x 12ft/lb PC shooter, 1x Open PCP shooter, 1x Springer (any class)), top aggregate score. Entrants for the Mann challenge cup should nominate which club they are shooting for BEFORE the start of the nationals competition to avoid confusion for those members who belong to more than one club. Clubs can only enter one score per person. (Current holder: Wellington Airgunners)

Another trophy TBA, possibly.

Also discussed  at the 2013 AGM, we would like any nominations for NZAFTA Secretary to be forwarded through.
These can be sent to 12ftlbs.NZAFTA@gmail.com
Once nominations are all in, or a closing date (yet to be set but will be posted here) has been met, club reps will have the opportunity to vote a person into this position, by way of an email ballot vote, with one vote from each club rep.

Thanks
Brett

NZAFTA FT Calendar2014
« Reply #8 on: November 18, 2013, 11:21:36 PM »
Im taking dates from all clubs now for any date(s) they wish to host any NZAFTA qualifying rounds.
Historically the first is near the end of January, and this year there will be a portion/part of the year when FT interests will be more focused on the hosting of and competing in the worlds 2014, so please takethat into account when sending through your preferred date(s)
First in first served, but the more competitive shoots we can get in prior to the worlds, the more practice/training under competition we can all get.

PM date(s) through please

Brett

Hi all
Just reminding all ft shooters that as of the 2014 AGM, the NZAFTA forum ( nzafta.forumotion.co.nz) is now being used for all NZAFTA business and information.
I'll still post reminders here when stuff comes up of course :)

Latest ones are gp series information and registration details, 2014 AGM minutes, updated constitution and rules, and an update on what we (the BoG) have been doing so far.

Lastly Id like to wish everyone a safe and happy festive season on behalf of myself and the other govs, and we'll see you all in the new year.
