Dvlnme and Novagun loading photos tuition.

Novagun and Mike, let's try and get you loading photos.

First, how do you take your photos, do you use a phone, or digital camera? And how do you look at the forum, on a tablet or computer?

Right Pauly5.
Kiss  - so here goes.

Lets go for this;  1. Photos taken with phone.     Every one has one.
                         2. Viewed from computer.        I think everyone has one.
                         3. Posted on computer.

I'm stupid, so will keep it simple.

Now you want to transfer those photos onto your computer. If you know how already, your half way there.

First on your desktop, or home screen right click the mouse, select new folder, you should be able to give it a name, type that in, then  push enter. You should now have a folder on the screen that you can put gun photos into.

Next

Plug your charger cord into your phone, and the other end into your computer. Your phone may ask if the computer can access files, select yes, or you may have to unlock your phone.

On your computer got to files and hopefully your phone should show on the list. Double click on it and it should open up. I usually look for DCIM, or camera file name. Double click that and hopefully you will get all your photos of grand kids, yachting scenes, etc showing up.

Now you just want to cut and paste what you want into the new folder on desktop. To do this click once on photo you want, if you want more hold down ctrl and left click on more photos, they should be highlighted now.
Next right click and select copy, next go to the new folder you made on desktop, right click on it and select paste. Your photos should now start copying into it.

More to come soon.

I presume you have a smart phone Nova?

When you connect it, try swiping down from the top, and see if there's an option to allow file sharing with your computer.

I think it is pretty smart. I phoned a friend in Miramar and got him in Brazil. Space age stuff but I have just been told my phone is sort of half way there. Whatever that means.
Found an old Samsung that she discarded. Probably because of the colour. Will try that and see what happens.

Some phones you will need to go into "Settings" then "Connectivity" or "USB" or "Cable Detection" or "Storage and removable media" (Depending on phone brand/software)

Once there, there may be something like "Choose what to do when connected to PC..." share files, charge only, sync/apps, backup etc

Choose "share files" or "allow file access"

Windows is configured by default to show connected devices in "My Computer" or "This PC"
