Bullpup hunting pics
« on: March 04, 2013, 10:55:32 PM »
Took the Marauder bullpup for a rabbit shoot today with a mate, got 9 in total and missed a real gift of a shot on a hare at about 80 meters.. next time..

Benjamin Premier pellets at 930 fps get it done..

Quite on the cards there misty... my next vid will be entitled "strictly head shots"..
I just need to find the time to sit down and do some editing...
I have been soaking up all my spare time on the trigger of the Russian learning the quirks of this new hunting platform and ballistics characteristics of an 18.13gr JSB at 930fps! Thats 35ftlbs of flat shooting madness with the accuracy to stack pellets at 100m!
Another tin of pellets and it will be second nature I'm sure ;)

I've always liked the look of the Edgun ever sinced I watched those videos a few years back of the russian guy sniping pigeons in public places.
It's a great looking stock, I'd love Zooboy to make me something like that for my Diana someday.

You certainly are a good shot and good at hunting rabbits also, well done keep up the good work.

Its a beautiful stock indeed, the joys of ordering a custom rifle aye ;)
Im going to get Ed to send me another stock painted with his WS Plast 4200, with addition of mica (it feels rough to the hands), in the original Edgun dark grey colour. I will use that one when out and about as I'd hate to knock  this Walnut beauty around, and just cant bring myself to fit sling swivels/sling and a bipod mount to it..

P.S I dont hunt rabbits.. I eradicate them from afar.. Rabbits dont require any sort of hunting, you just see them and shoot them ;D

Well I put another 1000 pellets through the Matador today which has just impressed the hell out of me for long range groups..
After some terrible scope cam misses on a plover at 90m I decided to spend the day on the trigger until I was ready to show case this thing and do its accuracy capabilities justice on cam.

After two tins of pellets I have got to know my holdovers and how much the wind effects the 18.1gr pellets at 930fps quite well now so decided to have a crack at a starling just out past the 100m mark this evening.. With a 6 mildot holdover and 1.5 dots for windage this unlucky starling took a shot to the neck.. Unfortunately my scope cam wasn't fitted but I tell ya, that shot was a thing of beauty!

Nice Work Bud,
And thanks for the pin-ups, I have to say though, I like YOUR stock on the marauder best when it comes purely to cosmetics.  ;)

The trigger on the R3s are all new and improved over the older Matador R2.5 which some owners had gripes with. It is now enclosed with the hammer as a one piece removable cluster.
The R3 is fully adjustable and a thing of beauty! Something to remember is this is a purpose designed bullpup trigger not a conversion from a std one so the linkage is all designed around a smooth adjustable target trigger.
"Suffer any bullpup hang ups?" Yes Im finding it hard to go back to anything but a bullpup.. Is that a bullpup hangup?  ;)

Falcon Menace Counter sniper series, 6-18x56 fine mildot-1/2dash reticle. Spring rated? Not sure? feel free to chime in here Ken, Im sure it is a laser etched reticle so probably.. its been on my .308 win for a while..
