NZAFTA 2014 calendar
« on: January 03, 2014, 07:04:22 AM »
And the dates (so far) for the 2014 national season are:

NZAFTA 2014 FT Calendar

Sunday 16th Feb. 2014 - NRC

Sunday 16th Feb - WAGC

Sunday 2nd March - MCASA

Sunday 16th March - WAGC postponed due to weather

Sunday 30th March - WAGC new date set by WAGC

Sunday 30th March 2014 - NRC

Sunday 6th April - MCASA

Sunday 27 April - NHAGC - Also Their FT Champs

Sunday 25 May - NHAGC

NATS - WAGC - Labour weekend - 25/26 October

2014 WFTF World FT Championshionship - Aug 24 ---> Sept 7

More dates MAY be added where they fit as they come in, strictly on a first in first served basis.
I realise the WAGC and NRC shoots fall on thesame day, but are at different ends of the island and allow all shooters the opportunity to (a) shoot 2 qualifying rounds towards Nats, and (b) compete at least twice at a national level for the worlds.

Any queries, PM me

Brett

I have been asked to post the Nats qualifying criteria for this year.
As at the AGM 2013, it was discussed and voted on that the qualifying criteria for the nationals be changed so that each shooter must attend (and post a score) at two (2) nzafta sanctioned national qualifying rounds.
There is no requirement to shoot each round with a specific class of rifle, and the attendance (and posting of score) from two (2) nzafta sanctioned national qualifying rounds qualifies the shooter to attend and shoot nationals on either or both days (in either of the four classes - 12ft/lb spring, open spring, 12ft/lb pcp, open pcp respective of the day)

ie:
scenario 1
john shoots open springer at wagc for one nzafta sanctioned national qualifying round, and 12 ft/lb pcp at wanganui for nzafta sanctioned national qualifying round.
john qualifies to attend and shoot at the Nationals on either day 1 (traditionally springer) or day 2 (traditionally pcp)

scenario 2
john shoots open springer at 2 nzafta sanctioned national qualifying rounds.
john qualifies to attend and shoot at the Nationals on either day 1 (traditionally springer) or day 2 (traditionally pcp)
